An injured tiger was sighted in Chandpai range’s Lawdobe last week, from the flesh wound on it’s feet it was clear that the tiger had been caught in a poacher’s snare and escaped.
As it was evident that without medical attention the tiger might not survive in the wild, Bangladesh Forest Department and WildTeam experts decided to capture and treat the tiger.
Today the tiger was captured in a cage set up by the expert team. It is in stable condition and will be transported to the Bangabandhu National Safari Park in Gazipur tonight, where it will receive the medical attention it needs.
