Via – Walking For Lions
4 Cows, 2 bulls (pure bred), 2 horses killed in less than two weeks!
Total damage = 8 000 Euro
Three adult females, one young male and three cubs. GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get them off my farm or I will poison them or shoot them before weekend!
This is the reality that very few people know about and others have NEVER heard of. Lions become accustomed to feeding on livestock due to very little natural prey in some areas and to be honest, cattle are fat, slow, stubborn and lazy! If you were in the wild and had a choice between a juicy steak that is slow and easy to catch or a gazelle that is fast, lean meat and well, FAST!
A farmer has had enough and will take action as of the end of the week. He has been patient for over 15 years but due to the lions killing two of his most expensive bulls, he will now take action. All the livestock killed was attacked during the late afternoons, on their way to the main water hole before they get locked up in the kraals. No herders present during attacks but the lions must go, he says.
It was mentioned to him that we will spend a lot of money to come and help him and see what we can do with our new inventions and his question was, WHY?
Our response; well because we care about the species and have lost so many already and his reply was; I DON’T CARE HOW MUCH HAS BEEN LOST just get them out!
Some of you might be wondering if we have figured out solutions for the problems, and the answer is……….maybe! This is NEVER a guarantee but instead of just sitting back and saying, ooohhhh guys, so here is the problem!!!!!!! We started thinking OUT SIDE OF THE BOX these ideas are way out there and we needed time to design them and make them but it seems that time is not our friend so we will take them with us to launch!
So why not catch them and relocate them you might wonder?
Where will you put them? Most areas are occupied with livestock, and the areas where there is natural prey, already has lions that will kill them. So here it is folks, 7 lions will be killed if nothing gets done.
