Here it goes, an excerpt from NTCA report after their findings on T24 issue from RTR. It reads as…… Q. Whether provisions of the standard operating procedure issued by the NTCA in this regard have been followed? (Its hilarious to read RTR answer and their understanding about SOP. It looks like they have no clue on what exactly SOP stands for and thereby their answer) Answer from RTR : On SOP on the above said issue, RTR have followed preventive measures such as declaring buffer zone, preparation of conservation programs, ecologically sustainable integrated development, keeping track of cattle, timely compensation, monitoring movement of wild carnivore, deployment of local workforce, watch team to prevent local people from trespassing…….. Comments and conclusion by NTCA. The most relevant and recent SOP carrying procedure to deal with the situations arisen in the instant context is the SOP to deal with emergency arising due to straying of tigers in human dominated landscapes issued by NTCA . The said SOP provides procedure for trapping, tranquillisation, elimination, monitoring of tigers, relocation etc. though the RTR reported about the following of the guidelines and not SOP issued by NTCA by and large, it could be observed that compliance level stands deficient as the evidence provided by RTR…. So my question is did any of you tried to get into the real story or rather took effort on finding facts and figures pertaining to T24 or just went on to blabbing………? Hope you would do your homework properly next time before blabbing…..
